Trivandrum Oncology Club meeting was held at hotel SP Grandays on 6 May 2023, 7:30 PM to 9 PM .The theme of the meeting was "Molecular oncology and its role in cancer management”. Medical Oncology DM student from RCC, Dr Parvathy Rajamohan presented topic, "Neoadjuvant Nivolumab plus chemotherapy in resectable lung cancer; checkmate 816 trial”. Dr Vipul Goyal, MCh Surgical Oncology PG from RCC presented three best abstracts which were presented in SSO this year. These abstracts were about circulating tumor cells and their significance in cancer prognosis. He narrated the emerging role of circulating tumour cells in cancer diagnosis and predicting the prognosis. Dr Prashanth Ariyannur The head of molecular and genomic lab, Karkinose Healthcare Cochin spoke about “Molecular Pathology”. He described the molecular methodologies being practised in cancer diagnosis which helps in sub typing the molecular types of cancer for fine tuning the treatment. This was followed by panel discussion “Cancer Care; Past Present and Future” which was moderated by Dr. Mintu Mathew Medical Oncologist from PRS , Karkinos, Centre, Trivandrum.Dr. T K Padmanabhan, Dr. Boben Thomas, Dr. Ajit Nambeesan, Dr. Gayatri, Gopan, Dr. Prashanth Ariyannur were are the panellists. The panel discussed about the changing landscape of cancer care in view of developments in molecular oncology. The meeting was followed by dinner
